"any dog can be aggressive" sure and so can chinchillas but there are certain breeds of dogs that are naturally more prone to aggression than others. Pitbulls are one of those breeds. As are German Shepherds, Dobermans, Akitas, Chows, Great Danes, and nearly every yippy little bastard small enough to step on.
No it doesn't, and I'm not saying all pits (or any other breeds) are automatically bad.
But when I hear so many uneducated people parroting such lines, and see these people rushing to get such animals with absolutely no idea how to properly train and control them, and then see horror stories of children and the elderly being injured, or worse, just because of the ignorance of a pet owner I feel an urge to speak.
I'm only saying that no, pitbulls are not automatically vicious killing machines (but they can be if not controlled); no, supercars are not automatically vicious killing machines (but they can be if not controlled); no, firearms are not automatically vicious killing machines (but they can be if not controlled), but the ignorance and incompetence of those who should never possess such things causes tragedy.
Exactly, @guestwho, I love dogs and I consider them to be great creatures, however, it's an animal, and if you can't properly raise a big dog (that does not have to be more agressive that a small one, but an anxious chihuahua is not nearly as dangerous as an anxious doberman) it's better if you don't take care of them untill you know how to treat them.
Yes, you may not know nothing about how to raise a dog and be lucky enough to have a huge hairy baby incapable of bitting anyone, but It can also get nervous sometime and react to defend himself from a child if he doesn't know a bit of discipline
I am doing an essay on pit bulls and why they have been wrongly banned. Did you know that pit bulls have been banned in over 40 states in America and some claim they haven't banned dog breeds, but because of a loophole in their law, pit bulls are technically banned? Pit bulls are only "viscous" if they are trained to be or abused, the same with any breed of dog. I own a pit bull / boxer mutt, and she is so sweet. Sorry rant over
All dogs can be vicious, violent, it all depends on how you threat them. Yes, pitbulls, bulldogs, rottweiler are really strong dog breeds but those breeds are actually one of the most protective breeds, plus they are angels with babies. Honestly i think that chihuahuas have the worst temper out of all the other breeds.
Fuck. Poodles are vicious. Chihuahas are vicious. Chow-chows are vicious. Dachshunds are vicious (not Datsuns!), even Dalmatians are more vicious than Pitbulls.
I wouldn't say those beds are vicious, just more likely to be poorly trained. Especially small breeds, because people don't take their aggression seriously.
My mom and I once fostered a pit/lab mix and he was so sweet
He was very rough while playing, but that went away with some training
