*some* scientists believe that, and their hypothesis is based on the evidence of otherwise unexplained gravitational effects. However, I'd stress that we are already well aware that our theories of gravity are incomplete at best, and there are at least two non-luminous, yet gravitationally active forms of matter/energy and/or a variable gravitational coupling "constant".
