this would have to be fake. the sound would be much to low with that size of piping and i doubt he'd be able to push the air fast enough to make any sounds. it is interesting, but fake.

Agreed. I want it to be real, but I can't help but get the feeling that the acoustics would be different. Lower tone as you mentioned and unusual sound with multiple chambers, depending on how the fence was manufactured.
