Yeah, and poetry has a lot more subjective appeal - for instance, I can't stand most Ezra Pound, but my favorite poem is one of his, just for its brevity (two lines).

Yes, it is. Dunno why I like that one, I just do. I like a lot of free verse, I just can't get the hang of it. When I try to write, it ends up in a rhyme scheme or it ends up sounding...hollow.
I like his poetry myself, but hey, it's all subjective
