I found the story - not a homeless homosexual man, he was defending two transgender women. Doesn't make it any better of course

I just realized it said beaten "to death" and will be deleting my previous sarcastic comment.

This just makes me sad to think about, people who kill others just because of differences is horrible. As sad as it is, at least he died defending and protecting others.

does it matter that the homeless man was homosexual. Nothing against them but I feel just defending someone from being beaten is just as honorable like you wouldnt say he saved a heterosexual homeless man. I mean I just feel it was an unnecessary thing thrown in there.

If the homosexuality was the reason the homeless man was beaten than yes it is necessary

If they pointed out that he was gay if there was no need to. Like when a straight person dies from a murder, you don't say, "Straight man, 22, murdered last night". But if he was beaten for being gay, then yeah, you'd include that.

I know that is exactly what he said what im saying is was that the case because I cant tell by the picture and a little text if it was. Im just saying the man was beaten regardless of his sexual orientation. That should be the focus that the man was beaten first.
