One of my english teachers in high school had a special microphone he'd bring out for the quiet students. I was one of them and I hated it

I always hated when kids like this gave speeches because I just felt bad for them. Like dude, you don't want to give a speech and I know most of the other kids are like me and don't want you to have to give one either for your own sake, so just speak up and get it over with.
