Not "cant bite back," too good natured to fight back. Aka, you do something to them they don't like and they don't strike back at you for it.

Get some sleep, you aren't making a lot of sense. I'm sure you have a point to make but running on no sleep won't help you make it.

I think they're upset about the default masculine pronoun assumption? Though to be fair, it's from 1905. I'm just glad "sisters" aren't included with the cats and dogs.
