One of my cats is the opposite, she arches into it. You have a hand near her? She will head but her way under your palm for pets.

Why do cats headbutt me? Like ones on the street that let me stroke it, it's like they want me to stroke them violently?

It's called bunting! It's an affection thing and a marking thing. Look up 'Cat bunting'.
