Not really. Falling in love at first sight isn't possible. You don't know anything about their actual personality so liking a person after seeing them only once is really you just liking their looks.

Crushing is different than falling in love I'm pretty sure

That's my entire point. You can't fall in love with someone you saw in public for the first time. It's a crush. Don't know why I got downvoted but thanks.
Love takes time and forms slowly, and normally catches you off guard, like, "Shit, what is this? I want this person? I do."
Crushing is when you see someone and at first sight you go "DAMN They're hot, I want to fuck that."
Crushing is generally for your personal benefit, but love is when you want that person to feel the same happiness that they give you. @blueskies_ is right.
I don't know about love but for the memory thing, I actually remember picture-clear that guy I saw in the street two years ago. His face, what he was wearing and the bag he was holding. (To be honest, it struck me how he looked perfect and seemed to come straight from a book.)
But I also do this with other strangers, not particularly hot or beautiful, like a man who seemed like a poor XIXth century writer, or a venitian blonde girl with a blue scarf and green bag, nothing particular about her but I still remember every detail of her face.
(Maybe we were pals or family in a past life?)
