For the shooting of Good Will Hunting, the park bench scene was shot on location in Boston. After his passing, an impromptu memorial sprang up at that bench with flowers, candles, pictures and other offerings. This also included writing messages in chalk on the sidewalk.
I didn't get the chance, but I wanted desperately to go and write, "It's not your fault..."

But in a similar vein:
Over at Achievement Hunter after Don Rickles passed, someone came into the office and announced it after the news was made public. Matt was unfamiliar with him, so Ryan pulled him up online. When Matt saw the picture, he said, "yeah, he looks like someone who would be dead."
Ryan and Gus agreed that was a Don Rickles joke and he would approve.
