I think it's just fact when we say it
I've been told that I'm rich when I'm obvious not, I don't make money
It's just sometimes people see me spending really scary and my way of buying things is that if it's value of money, it's not expensive
My parents simply sometimes let me spend that way
So yea, I'm NOT rich at all, it's the people that give me the ability to look like I am
If somebody's a minor or the money isn't legally in their name then their parents are rich. If you can be cut off, you're just a dependent of a rich person. You are "well off" in that case, because you're not personally rich but you live well.
Do most people you know see it that way? I'm just genuinely curious. Also does an adult child moving away from their parents, for example, count as being 'cut off' because they have to completely support themselves, or are they still rich because their parents would bail them out of an emergency?
"Do most people you know see it that way?"
Yes.
"Also does an adult child moving away from their parents, for example, count as being 'cut off' because they have to completely support themselves, or are they still rich because their parents would bail them out of an emergency?"
If you have your family as a fool-proof financial safety net, you're still wealthy.
