The way I know that I am doing better with my depression is whenever I go into the living room and my mom or my sister fight with me my dad automatically says, "Leave her alone! She's finally out of her room!" or he says, "Leaver her alone! This is the first time this week she's been out of her room!"

I hate it when my family did that. "Look who's awake before 4pm!" "Look who decided to grace us with her presence!" Or my least favorite was at family functions "This is the most we've seen her because she never leaves her room." But after a few years I'm proud to say depression and anxiety don't have that hold on me anymore and now I can actually talk to them about what's going on. I was never able to when I felt the way I did

When i was dealing with depression my parents didnt do anything. My mom made it a million times worse actually. I just want to say, i hope no one else has to go through that.
