It is... but organisms only produce a small fraction of the CO2 added to our atmosphere every year. The ocean adds more, and factories add literally tons and tons more. http://whatsyourimpact.org/greenhouse-gases/carbon-dioxide-emissions

Factories produce "tons and tons more" than organisms. I don't know if they produce more or less than the ocean.
