I actually learned to do this when a kid pulled me into a pool and i didnt know how to swim.

I fell in the pool once. There was literally no circumstances I was just stupid. Walking along the edge and whoop there I go

My mother threw me in. Sink or swim was the option, I was in no danger seeing how there were four other adults near by.

Number 1 depends on how deep the water is for you to reach the bottom and jump back up. Other 3 ways are better no matter where you are

Why not just keep swimming on your back instead of doing something as troublesome as flipping around

It's not like you need much effort though. I'm sure even if your legs and arms are tied lackadaisically doing a mermaid kick will have enough forced to keep your mouth and nose above the water

I thought this too.. Just float on your back? Next time I go swimming im going to experiment xD (without ropes)

Anyone who wants to drown you for sure will weigh you down. In that case step 1 might work, good luck with the rest though.
