While I agree she is amazing at painting I feel the praise is going more toward her use of African Fabrics and her being African than her actual skillwork ? Idk if that's just me getting that feeling or not. Maybe it's cause I just got off tumblr and that's all they do so I'm not in the FUNsubstance mindset yet.

I think the praise is more towards her ablity to combine mediums, along with her technical skill.

Guess i missed the PC in this one because all i could think is they were praising a 19 yr old for having considerable talent at such a young age. (crawling back under my rock now)

Praise for being black and having a skill. God forbid we praise people for having a skill and completely ignoring ethnicity. This is actually by definition, racist.

No, racist is thinking one race is superior/inferior to others and acting as if stereotypes are cold hard facts and if you don't fit it you're weird
