I'm just a very tactile person and everyone I know is very not and I don't know how to say "hey I need a hug because I need to express to people I love how much they mean to me and I also need affirmation that you like me too and I'm not just someone that you tolerate because I'm clingy and don't know how to meet new people so can I hug you?"
That's okay, I think people who show their feelings and appreciation through touch is a good thing, it's important actually. Maybe you could try hugging them in a way that doesn't make them feel uncomfortable? They could just be afraid of what people think rather then what they think about you
I think it's more that I was very withdrawn growing up, so every time I want a hug they think something is wrong when really I'm just trying to show affection. Or want affection.
Haha don't worry it's not a nice feeling but it will go away, sometimes it's because of hormones or stress and your brain just needs to cut itself off for a bit to calm down. What you need to do is give yourself a day or two all for yourself, just chill and do things that you enjoy like watch some videos or draw, whatever you want. Do you have any issues that are bringing you down?

I'd rather not talk about it on such a public site and with someone I don't even know. No offense btw. But thank you for the advice
Well I'm okay today
But I wanna repeat you're one of the most attractive fsers I have ever seen with such unique unisex beauty
And I have hella high standard
Aw I'm sorry you feel that way ew, exams are stressful but eventually it'll be over. The best thing to do is just keep pushing, study hard even if you hate it and use every resource you have available to help, like teachers. Use that exam as the end goal. Once it's done you can drop out proudly knowing that at least you put effort in (that's exactly what I did for Chemistry ahah). All my good vibes are being sent your way, good luck
I might not be eligible for the government grant for students I was hoping to get and I'm pretty sure that if I go back to work there is a 100% chance I will be getting infected
Aw that's a tricky situation. I'm not sure how it works in America but here in Aus we have Centerlink which gives you a certain amount of money depending on what you're eligible for so I'm guessing this is similar? I would make sure you're 100% certain you can't get the grant before considering work. Either way, if you take the necessary hygiene precautions you shouldn't get infected. Are you high risk?
I'm not high risk in the sense that if I get infected I'll die, but I guess I'm high risk in the sense that if I get infected I'm gonna be bedridden in agony for weeks (autism is a bitch)
Being bedridden is the worst but it's unlikely you'll get infected if you wash your hands, keep your distance from others and what I've been doing is gently cleaning items I know others have touched that I've bought with bleach. Workplaces are trying to make it safe and healthy for their workers. Have you looked into the grant more? I'm pretty sure you'd be able to get it if your classmates can.
I just dont know how easily social distancing will be if I'm moving back and forth between two different towns constantly.
I'm also looking into the grant yeah, I just need to make sure my former boss sent a thing before I can continue it
Focus on getting that grant then before considering work, if it's an option that others in your situation have received then you should get it too so don't worry just yet.
I only have one classmate whose gotten it so far and that's because their job laid them off because of the virus, so they have a damn value excuse for it
Do you have different types of grants? If so their should be a description of who's eligible for the student grant. Your friend might have received a different one because his income was hindered because of the virus, rather than because he's a student.
No, that's what the grant originally was (employees who lost their jobs due to the virus), however they recently updated it to include students who have made 5000 dollars last year, so long as they did not voluntarily quit their previous job
I tend to procrastinate as well and the struggle is real. My main tips are: write out a to-do-list in detail, so if the thing you're doing can be broken down into smaller parts, even as small as "write the first sentence" or "draw the outline for the head". Giving yourself goals you can tick off regardless of how small really help to give that next boost of motivation. Everyone has different working styles so if you find yourself going off task then take a break, 10 mins to do whatever you want then another 20 mins to focus on your task and repeat. Even if it's slower, things will get done faster than staring at your task for 2 hours feeling stuck. It also helps to call yourself out, "Hey! I'm procrastinating!", try and stop and refocus. Sometimes however, it's not the doing of but the actual task. Are you distracted because you're dispassionate? the task is hard? Getting to the root of your procrastination helps so you can work from the ground up.
.
Can I ask what're you're doing?
ooft 20 pages, I don't blame you for procrastinating that, it's a lot of work. With large assignments like that I would try and set mini deadlines so by the time it's actually due you've already chipped away at it. Depending on your deadline, I'd try to get 2-3 pages done (or a similar amount in words) every 2 weeks. Then use 2 days dedicated to re-reading/ polishing. If there's anything I can help you with to cut down your workload, like maybe gathering articles or pictures, hit me up. You got this, good luck!
Thank you man, I'm actually already past the deadline but it got prolonged for me because I was ill for 2 weeks.
She said I could have 2 weeks more or even longer, 2 weeks were over on the 15th, so I gotta get my shit together.
It's already 5 pages long, so there's that.
Only 15 more to go, that's doable. Most markers prefer quality over quantity, so even if you aren't able to get 20 pages done, if the pages you have done are clear and convey the main points then you should pass. Set aside some time every day to smash out some words. I believe in you (and I hope everything goes well with Leonora, the stress from that wouldn't be helping, let your marker know if you need more time I'm sure she'd understand).
hug would be very good
I love spreading the good vibes so your comment is appreciated haha
And no worries, I hope you feel better soon
But I wanna repeat you're one of the most attractive fsers I have ever seen with such unique unisex beauty

And I'm glad you're feeling good today
And hope you're feel great too
And I feel great thanks! (especially after talking with you both)
@mialinay are you alright? Let me know if you need anything
I'm also looking into the grant yeah, I just need to make sure my former boss sent a thing before I can continue it
*hugs back*
Uhm...how do you fight procrastination when you see yourself doing it?
.
Can I ask what're you're doing?
It's mainly this 20 page assignment that I've been procrastinating on
