Actually, most home thefts that occur while someone is away are done by acquaintances or acquaintances as accessories (e.g., Person A announces "Leaving Friday for Miami!!! See y'all in a week, suckas!!!" Person B reads that status and informs Person C. Person C knows Person A is not home and burgles the place).
