I'll bet they're now harassing you to find a nice person, settle down and crank them out some grandkids.
Tell them this at the next family dinner when it comes up:
"I find it difficult to date because you prohibited me from it. Starting late stunted me and even now, I find it difficult because of the stigma you attached to it."
I was Mormon so no dating until 16 and even then you're encouraged to date Mormons. The only person who wanted to date me all throughout high school was the pitcher of the softball team and we were both 15. I still regret rejecting her to this day. Not just because Mormon women hated me so much that I didn't get my first date until 20, but also because I think women who ask guys out are hot. There's something admirable about a woman who knows what she wants and goes for it. So I resolved to always say yes whenever a woman asks me out, as rare as that may be.
