I am not a LOTR fan. I tried so hard to read the books I just can't his writting style is just to hard for my dyslexic mind. I have seen the movies, ALL the movies, even the old ones. Still, I just can't like them. I tried, I actually tried. Now I do believe they are a big part of earth's fictional story history (as in a book/movie/tv show/play that is beloved by so many it becomes apart of us all). And I believe if you like them or not you should see the movies atleast once.
But the ONLY REASON I will watch the movies over and over again is because of the dialogue between Gimli and Legolas. lol
I love the movies, and tried to read the books and I totally agree. It was hard to read and concentrate, especially when Tolkien chose to wrote 3,000,000 pages on Tom Bombadil (That's where I couldn't find the will to read it anymore)
