As someone who studied forestry for 4 years, looks good to me! Minimized damage by having only one road in and out, irregular shape was probably defined by natural barriers and will attract wildlife.
Looks like they left some snags for wildlife trees as well!
As a computer scientist, this doesn't surprise me. The algorithm is called "space colonization", spreading from trunk/branches (road tracks) towards a surrounding resource like light (or trees). Same problem, same solution.
