Exactly. I have scoliosis too, but it's only 13 degrees (and the spine is slightly shaped like a question mark when you look at my back), so they decided to leave it like that.
Did you have to learn to walk again? Like, your body was used to a different shape of spine... I just had to think of my Mom, whose one leg was longer than the other and when she had it fixed, she was always stumbling.
My right leg was only slightly longer than my left leg so that wasn't too much of an issue but I did have to go to physical therapy a couple days after my surgery so I could practice walking again but it was nothing major
