Rich people don't run tabs... part of how they got rich. I'm willing to bet the story should read "paul walker gave his credit card (with 0% interest when paid in full, which he promptly payed the next day, then submitted the receipt to his tax attorney as a charitable donation) to the manager..."

The wedding band isn't usually super fancy, the engagement ring is. With the money he didn't spend on that ring he can afford a nice band if he desires anyhow.
