It's actually "Potatoes", not "Potato". I agree with you that naming a horse Potato would be a terrible idea, but Potatoes is a great name for a horse, don't you think?

When I was younger I had a cat named Pickles. Then along came Butters and Noodles. I always had strange names for my animals
