It's really punishing when I try to explain a glorious Japanese pun from an anime or something to friends that aren't also learning the language, especially if I'm trying to get them to watch the show that the pun is from.
That's pretty good, but it's more often stuff like a character in the Monogatari series named Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade being given the name Shinobu after she loses most of her vampire powers and looks like an 8-year-old because the kanji for her name, 忍, has the character for 'heart' under the character for 'blade.' Or Kitsu Chiri from another show always telling people to do things properly, or 'kicchiri,' the little pause denoted by the first 'c' being given by a small 'tsu' character.
Or, you know, just puns like normal but in Japanese instead of English.
