I belive that it fails to clarify that man and women aren't created equal. Even after a sex change a man is a man and a woman is a woman. Putting the whole "I identify as a woman/man" aside, it won't change what you are biologically. The person was born a man, identified as a woman, and because of that he had a big advantage.
Nothing wrong with trans playing sports, it's just that women and men's competition should only be restricted on what should and should not be allowed, and in this case, when it comes to competitive sports have certain requirements that won't make the game unfair
Not to mention it kills the spirit of the women who spent years trying to get good at a sport only to be over taken by someone with a biological advantage.

Its the equivilant of putting Cristiano Ronaldo is a dress, saying he's a woman and letting him play in the Women's League.
Long story short: if you are trans and you want to play in a sexually divided sport at least go the full hog and change completely to make it fair on the other competitors.
Ok and what about the changes in muscle mass when given hormone therapy amd the regulations that certain sports have torwards transgender people?

If they're mid transition that's a different story. As far as we know the competitor shown here is not transitioning and for all purposes is still male.
Let me make this as clear as possible. If you are human and have have 2 X chromosomes in your somatic cells, you are female. If you are human and have have both an X and a Y chromosomes in your somatic cells, you are male. Barring any strange mutations, those are the only options, and they aren't really optional b/c like a Pokémon trainers name, they can't be changed later. Any mismatch of genetalia and gender is an it.
I just want to jump in here and make sure everyone has looked up the Wikipedia page for "dude".

Your comment said it's rude to call a trans girl a dude (which didn't match the actual post). I made a garbage reply about the King of the Dudes, because this is FunSubstance. The you edited your post (2 hours ago) and then commented "What?" (2 hours ago), as if my comment made absolutely no sense and had no context, when you had in fact changed the context.
That's what.
I think @rambulus is making the auxiliary point that, in our dialogue, we shouldn't intentionally disrespect the woman's story by referring to her using male pronouns.
Exactly. Sports aren't split along gender, they're split along sex because to do otherwise is insanely unfair. Reminds me of that news story where a national women's soccer team was destroyed in a scrimmage against a bunch of high school boys. It's a biological disadvantage, not a social construct. Born with XY? Compete with XY. Born with XX? Compete with XX. (PS lol XX Volleyball and XY tennis XD)
