I really don't know how we are going to help by commenting on this picture. I'm American and I wonder that myself.

I forget what time period I think the late 1800's or early 1900's they were going to change to metric system but it would be to costly every product would need new labels every road sign and it would just be to costly and would take over many years for the change to be complete. That being said that's why we don't use the metric system

Funny thing is, we are learning about the metric system is science right now too.

In middle school our science teacher would use the metric system and the shop class teacher would inches and stuff. It was so confusing switching between classes, since they would yell at us for using the wrong units x3
