This car melted in the Summer heat

Does insurance cover that

Why didn't any other cars melt?
My uncle went hiking in some desert..when he got back to his car the rear view mirror had melted off. He got a ticket on the way home for lack of mirror :(

That looks more like what happens when a car a parked next to a car which catches fire. I've actually seen that happen.
