The thing is this storm was like a running back. No clue where the hell it was about to go. We were going to evacuate but the highways were jammed and litterally no gas alm the way up into Georga. Better off riding it out at home than being stuck on the interstate. Not to mention assholes charging $7 a gallon and plane tickets went through the roof. Hell some people were charging $50 for a 20 pack of water.
But like my mom grew up in Florida and people actually have hurricane parties. Like legit cookouts and they make cakes and stuff, I'm really not surprised that publix is cashing in on that
You stock up the days before with food and drinks then invite the people you like enough to potentially be trapped for days over and throw a party where most people get drunk
