I kind of want to go to mine but I missed my 10 year one because I never heard anything about it even with searching on the internet. I might change my mind by the time I get there though.
If I got contacted out of the blue by someone from 20 years ago in my past, I'd ask them to reconfirm who they are, apologize and tell them they have me confused with someone else.
Is it though? Rather than involve myself in a situation I'm forced to extricate myself from later, I avoid it altogether in the first place. It is probably the kindest means to dodge the dredging up of the past and opening of old wounds. Remember my favorite pair of words:
Past Tense.
"But smitty," you protest, "what if after all this time you finally--"
Imma stop you right there. You don't know me or my past, but I'll tell you this: it's not worth the risk.
The only reason I go to reunion is to see how many of the girls have gotten pregnant by the age of 18 (so I can do that little smirk)
And to make my crushes regret their sorry asses
Honestly I can almost guarantee they didn't see it that way. My younger sister always complains when she visits me but in most of the situations she's the asshole but she doesn't see it like that. When somebody "bullies" you it's usually related to something you've done as well. I was bullied horribly in high school I know.
They called me a cheating bitch cause I got the highest score in English
Told me a million times I was ugly cause I'm tan and thin
Gathered up and pulled this girl hair and teased her cause she was smartest one in class
They didn't do it to me cause they knew I would fight back
