Australians have, or at least had, a tendency for this; calling redheads Bluey, or fat guys Slim.

I've never heard of a redhead being called Bluey or a fat guy slim. Lots of people think it's funny to call something it's opposite when it comes to names, my friends dog is called Cat and his cat his called Dog
