That's what I was thinking, if she was trying to run or hide from someone who worked there it would be easy for them to track her down and then get to the tanks to drown her. The clothes part may have been something they just wanted to do, like a red herring
After some light research I've changed my mind. It's most likely she had taken drugs such as ecstasy as capsules were found in her stomach that were unidentifiable. Ecstasy can make the body overheat, feel paranoia and anxiety, and as she had bi-polar this would have increased. So it's plausible she drowned herself, that doesn't explain how she got to the water tank though.
It's possible it's a combination of both, she could have been on ecstasy at the time which would account for her strange behavior in the video. Due to her vulnerability of being high and roaming the hotel an employee could have decided to kill her, in turn disarming the alarm and opening the hatch of the tank. Or perhaps the employee was high as well when doing all this. Even if the alarm was faulty, she would still need a key to open the hatch, no key was found near or on her so an employee must have been involved some how.
It's unlikely the killer would be high while performing an act like this, after all they would have to get rid of any evidence that they were with her and to do that they would need a clear head. Do finger prints remain on clothes even if the clothes are submerged in water?
Oh I don't mean the killer had intentions to kill her when high, its possible the employees actions when high caused her death. Such as being caught up in each others paranoia, the employee helped her to the roof by unlocking the stairwell and disarming the alarm. I don't believe finger prints really remain on anything if submerged or some other foreinsic substances either. I think thats why its considered near impossible for cases to be solved if the body is in water for a certain period of time.
No I was saying the employee wouldn't have been high, but you can't really rule out anything so that's a good theory. Hm so like you said it's pretty much impossible, multiple employee's finger prints would be all over the tank and the security system so even if it was an employee it would be hard to know which one. Pretty smart move on the killers part, if we agree it's a murder and not a suicide
Its possible they knew to drown her in the tank as well, knowing any evidence left on her would be destroyed. They also didn't show up on any sort of security footage, if an employee is the killer they must have planned this. I'm not sure what kind of security cameras they have in the hotel, but you'd think they would have cameras in hallways and stairwells at least. Just footage of the stairwell or maybe a hallway would have shown what really happened.
Apparently there was more video footage but the police wouldn't publicly release it, maybe the hotel has some joint thing with them to keep it a secret. I agree this was all pre-meditated, but then why did they pick Lam, or did she just happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Honestly, while everything else about this is weird and disturbing the video itself wasn't really all that weird. I watched it and she seemed to just be fooling around
And those people who were drinking and bathing in human-pickled water
Eh now I feel like I gonna puke more than scared
Here's her video
