Many times they have teachers aides, usually grad students to grade the work, and Sometimes professors are unrealistic assholes. I had a professor that announced we had homework the morning of class, due that day, annouced at 7 am due at 11am. She was pissed when like 5 students had done it. Most of the class didnt even realize she had announced the homework as they were still asleep or in other classes. She very reluctantly allowed us to make it up, but only with a hit of -30% to the score.

that's messed up. Where I went professors would conference to make sure they didn't assign a bunch of work at the same time, it would all be online or you'd get like 3 weeks for each assignment, the whole semester for a very large assignment (15-30 pages)

Damn thats pretty nice especially the conference thing. Near finals week shit hits the fan, we have a nap room but we need a crying room Instead.

yeah finals and mid-terms are about the only exceptions. Those weeks were always hell. The library had a nap room lol

9 am classes are no joke either though. That's waking up at like 7:30 just to get there for a 15 min drive.
