Twice, a friend (NRA firearms instructor) has invited several coworkers to go target shooting at lunch. Those who don't own firearms can use one (or more) of his. Those who don't know how to get instructed. Apparently, he gets joy from teaching people who know nothing about firearms to use them safely and correctly.
Fore ample, rule 1 is don't point a gun at anything you don't want to shoot (heard that many times) but I didn't know that rule 2 is don't put your finger on the trigger until you're ready to shoot. I got to try out several firearms, including an M1 Garand (which my father and father in law both carried around Korea), and the guy wouldn't take money for the ammo we used.
tl/dr: you're going target shooting the day the backpack gives you a gun.
What you knowin' about wearin' a fur fox skin?
"it's a mystery tool that will help us out later"
