Hmm. Been using the fishing line knot for years, never knew it was also a noose.

Properly tying the fishing line knot requires you to lick the string before you tighten it. I think if you tyed a natural fiber rope into a noose you’d get a tongue full of slivers when you licked it.

That's not a noose because a noose requires it to be a slipknot.
