I'm a teacher and fire code says we should already have one....so yeah, there should be one. It's the training that we need. No one's ever actually used one before.
We should definitely, and if not for this reason for the reason of safety... and the fact that we are supposed to have them in every room anyway. (But don’t)

In the schools I went to, they mostly had fire extinguishers in the science classrooms.
And now you have to train staff how to use it defensively on a yearly basis, replace or recharge low extinguishers when needed, and inspect them monthly. Nothing is ever cheap.

Still likely cheaper than giving every teacher a gun. Probably safer, too
Explain how it’s safer than a gun? You mean safer for the criminal that’s literally trying to murder children? Yeah, let’s make it easier for him to kill kids, after all, we wouldn’t want to do anything to harm him, right?
Please tell me you're joking when a fire extinguisher is safer than a gun. That's like comparing kitchen knives and butterfly knives. Both can kill(or subdue) but one is clearly suited for something else.

I mean it’s safer than giving an adult a weapon in a room full of unarmed children. Teachers are people, and people can do weird and dangerous shit. That’s what I meant when I said less dangerous
So instead of giving some one training like the police get to make them safe with a fire arm im suppose to trust my child's life to a untrained individual with a fire extinguisher I believe that's called libtarded.
