Question: Was it on purpose or by accident? I mean, either answer will still result in the owner being an asshole, be it a scummy asshole or a dumb asshole, but I'm still curious
sometimes they'll adopt a dog on vacation, but can't take on planes, too many permits, vet checks and what not. I think they had hoped that the dog would find a home, not realising the dog loved them so much that there was no home to go to
