Cosmo's become some weird caricature of a magazine where every bad article that can't get published by a real source ends up. I feel like it's run by a group of 60-year-old mental patients whose entire journalistic philosophy can be summed up as "WE'RE ALLOWED TO SAY VAGINA NOW SO LET'S PUT IT EVERYWHEEEEEEERRRRRRREEEE."

That's awful but the article does have some interesting points. The way it's written though seems like a checklist of excuses for cheaters. It's basically pushing for couples to be open to open relationships, which imo is fine and fun, and it urges communication which is good, but to say that cheating isn't bad is wrong. There is a difference between negotiated infidelity and going behind your partners back. It almost seems like it's hinting that if you're not comfortable with an open relationship then you need to be understanding of the cheater, which is BS.....

Communication and trust are key in relationships, and if one partner is feeling suffocated or feeling like something is missing or they need something else, they need to express that to their partner so something can change. Not go behind their back then expect some form of understanding. That's not to say if someone cheats you shouldn't talk about it. Sometimes talking through it can help, sometimes it doesn't. But cheating is bad and shouldn't be normalized.
