Cats are weird creatures

It's because they don't like their whiskers touching the sides of the dish

My cat eats the whole bowl then whines for more. She's getting fat.

It’s also to do with their narrow field of vision.they basically don’t have peripheral vision, so literally can’t see the food at the edges.
