Considering I was barely mentally prepared, and coming off a holiday break, the grades took one hell of a nosedive. For maths, it was simply too much content packed in a short amount of time. Like, you have a week for a topic, (3/4 lessons on average), and if you fall behind or don't understand a part of the topic, tough luck, you will need to catch up yourself. Plus I was doing HL math, so that might explain something. But overall, like the one subject that was not that hard to deal with was Geography, simply because it more boils down to analysing information and writing a detailed response, nothing difficult. And Chemistry wasn't too bad either. But holy fuck, the jump in intensity was high. It's more for people who are prepared to study on their own, at the cost of free time. More about committance to dealing with high af expectations. I left after a semester, switching to the normal program, but if there's one thing IB was useful for, was getting me out of the lazy mode.

I am in IB2, and you can't imagine the pain. I have to do one of the Economics IA right now, I had to correct my Extended Essay, and after the 14th of January I will have to start studying everything that I've seen since September of last year. IB is painful, but you need to be very responsible with studying and doing things every day. But what's surprising, is that if you ask people in IB 2 if they like the IB, they'll probably say yes. And I am in Maths SL and I'm probably going to get a 3, so not too happy with Maths; the other subjects are going fine. I hope you have luck in your programe

Considering IB gave me a massive headstart in some subjects, I did get on well, got my grades in order. So yeah, it did kinda help in a way.
