I don't think Qantas has ever had one.. I might be wrong, but Google's too far away to bother checking

I'll run with it. In fairness even my "fun fact" is suspect. There's always that asterisk of what was or wasn't counted in a figure, and the statement is only as good as the data it's based off of.

Didn’t some planes disappear in 2017? Are those not jets or are those people not counted since missing/presumed dead? Or don’t count them if it wasn’t a crash? Or what?

Never mind - found it. Washington Post has an article 1/2/2018 explaining the distinctions. Air traffic was miserable but no one died!
