I was texting someone and they called me and I was legitimately confused as to what was happening. Why the fuck would she call me when we're texting? Fucking psycho.
I knew a girl who would start a text convo with me then after a few minutes she'd try and FaceTime me .... literally every time and when I tried once to humor her call her bf went " this is just hypothetical but what would you say if I asked for a one night stand ? " and keep in mind this is a 35+ dude and I was barely 18 and it was right in front of her too
Never again
And? You were both of legal age. There is nothing wrong with even a 90 year old and an 18 year old having sex. You aren't obligated to have sex with him of course, but the difference in age isn't reason enough to have it be a crime like you made it sound. The "barely" doesn't matter in this case.
Because technically I was legal but the friend didn't know my birthday had just passed and thought I was 17 still. Like BARELY legal.
And yeah there's nothing wrong with it if you know they're legal, but neither of them knew that I was yet
I don't have any of my real info on social media, we had no mutual friends irl besides his gf, and we hadn't known eachother long enough for me to forget telling them
Unless he stalked me virtually and asked friends via other sites, which he shouldn't have because that was the first time I talked to him, he couldn't have known
That's a large jump in logic. There are plenty of ways he could of known. If you were barely 18 then isn't it likely that they were asking you now because they knew that you just turned 18? It seems like a bit unlikely that he just happened to get the time right so that you turned without him knowing.
That was the first time I'd FaceTimed them and the first time talking to him. I know id never told either one of them of my birthday because he could only have known if she knew and I know I didn't tell her.
I'm assuming it's cause people tend to assume I look older than I am but she knew ( when I first told her ) I was 17 and not actually their age, and not that id turned 18 yet.
So he probably asked because it was my first time talking to him, not because he knew id just became legal.
Either way, he asked when to their knowledge I was 17 and I know it's not because he thought I'd just turned because later on in that convo I told them I'd just turned 18 and he was like " fuck no that's too young " so he wouldn't have asked anyway if he knew I was 18
If someone turns 18 in New York, has sex, and flies over to California, can they file for statutory rape? Because when they fly back to California they'll be 17 again.
Why the fuck is your issue that it was legal ? I never said it was illegal or that he was a rapist ?
I said my grown ass friends grown ass bf asked me what I would say to a " hypothetical " one night stand shortly after meeting
My original issue wasn't with the age itself but rather a grown ass dude I had just met in that conversation not so subtly hitting on me in front of his gf when for all he knew I was 18 years ( at least) younger than him and already in a relationship
Also no it wouldn't be because that's a stupid hypothetical
If you'd JUST turned 18 in ny you'd already be 18 in Cali before the flight got there since it takes 6 hours to fly and the time difference is 3 hours
But once again, the difference in age is irrelevant as long as both people are legal and you being in a relationship doesn't mean people can't offer themselves up. Just because you are in a relationship doesn't mean you can't have sex with others even though it is frowned upon by most. As for him being in front of his girlfriend, don't you think that says something? That maybe the two had talked about this privately and were interested in a threesome?
Fucking hell, stop assuming the absolute worst in people when it literally requires illogical thinking and the assumption that the other person is completely ignorant.
The amount of time doesn't matter. This was a hypothetical question about the legality of sex and time zones. For this we would assume that there is no travel time.
How am I assuming the worst in someone when all I'm saying is it was creepy and weird ? I'd just met the guy, I hadn't even been friends with her for that long
So forgive me for thinking it's creepy for a grown ass man to proposition me for sex as one of the very first things he'd said to me ?
The travel time is insignificant. The point of the hypothetical is to question the legality of certain events when the United States literally has areas that are another time and can even be in another day. But if you want to think then use a private jet. It would only take 4 hours and 45 minutes to go from New York to California.
Never again
