Everything aside, she is truly marvellous.
But I don't think that she is really ready for a child. Even Humans experience such difficulties raising children. They literally start to pull out their hair. I know she is a really advanced AI but, children are more complex than her brain can CURRENTLY process.
EDIT: She isn't reading this, right?
Probably but she's still in her own stages of infancy. Interestingly enough this is the same kind of reaction little girls have after playing with dolls and seeing mothers be motherly. They're young and at the copy stage of their life so they see grown women with children and think "i take care of my dolls so i can take care of a kid just like mommy" and she's exhibiting the same behaviour. It's funny to think a robot modeled to be a human will, in the most bizarre way, act like a child in her first years as she grows to understand the world just as a child dose.
Seems to be, as advanced as she is and as capable of speech as she is she is only like what 1, 2 years old? Her developers are slowly drip feeding her more information about the world in a database but the most helpful information she receives isn't downloaded it's experienced. Her creators give her a lot of information without putting it in her database so she can archive the experience herself in her own way. It's how she's learnt to talk (and she's still learning), they basically gave her a database of words and then taught her like a child how to use them.
Chappie was a great movie. What's not there to get excited about?

I don't see a point why shouldn't we be excited.
