Looks like a tab that ya can use your thumb to open the knife. I could be wrong though. Been wrong before, an will be till the end of time. Hopefully someone can help ya.

Which is actually pretty ridiculous, all you need to do is unscrew the hinge screw, screw it back in with some lock tite to the point where the blade is loose and voila, kinetic energy opening knife

You don't even have to do that. You can pinch the spine and use the weight of the grip to open it and with a small and quick adjustment, you'll be palming the blade and can easily spin it around to hold it normally. I do it all the time with my knife because sometimes I'll pick it up upside down or backwards.

@squeak. Oh it is. The people who made this rule are the same ones who are saying guns kill people! Not the dipshit who loaded the gun, put a round into chamber, intentally pointed gun at someone else’s head, pulled the trigger (perhaps more than once), then try to dispose of gun. Gun is found & turned in as evidence for trial. Now the rule makers are sayin if gun was not around dipshit would not have killed “victim”. So now an inanimate gun needs to be outlawed so no more people are killed by it. I understand a lot of people are killed by an “unloaded”/ safety was on type of gun. An I truly feel for those people/ their family. I really do. But to say an inanimate gun is going out killin people not the dipshit is really ridiculous! I got off track. I’m not tryin to start guns are/ are not bad discussion. Just sayin that people who don’t know/ care, are makin theses rules.
