How can you fake being in a coma? Aren't your brain waves and vital signs different when in a coma?

None of this can possibly be true. I work in an icu. If you’re in a coma you’re intubated on a ventilator with sedation. And furthermore that’s some pretty awful nursing if you don’t notice your supposedly unresponsive patient is suddenly MISSING! I could go on forever...
