I went to a house viewing today and they had a dog and I spent ages petting it then remembered it was a house viewing not a dog viewing

I totally believe this and would probably do the same. While I did not forget my dog, I usually don't leash her in the car, so I forgot her leash when going to the vet and we were already running late. I just had to hold onto her collar and look like an idiotic pet owner who doesn't leash their dog.
