Has anyone in that generation just tried getting a good paying job and spending responsibly? No getrich quick schemes just day after day year after year of budgeting and keeping your head down and then a few years later you lift your head up and realize you’ve achieved success?

I honestly thought guest was being sarcastic bc that is one of the most head up the ass comments ever.

I wasn't sure if they were sarcastic at first, but upon rereading it "that generation" is a dead giveaway

There's a demand for people with trade school experience.

Very true, but unfortunately a lot of people find the work “dirty” or “beneath them” or they’re to rigid on what they “want to do”

Or, we been told since young to go to college instead of trade school. It’s kind of hard to do the opposite of what every person has been telling us since we were 10

I was told to get in to computer programming or be a teacher. I was also told that the only way to survive was to be part of a union. Thankfully I shunned all that. Sometimes doing what you’re told us the worst thing for you

My dad is one of the instructors at the UTI campus and one of his students just recently got a good job in nascar. but you still have to remember Tuition is 70 grand+ there and most students dont get that kind of luck. Jobs are harder to get as older generations refuse to retire and the pay wages arent exactly keeping up with the rising prices in this economy. Life is expensive and a lot of people in the newer generations cant afford a comfortable life, and most have to live paycheck to paycheck. I work a full time job at 12$ an hour and i still dont have enough to move out of my parents
