Fun fact! You know how you motivate yourself always with the fact that you were "the fastest"? That's not true, there is no "race", all sperms circle the ovum and press into it till it breaches. After the breach, one sperm (or multiple at the exact same time) enters, the oven hardens. So basically we aren't the fastest, but we are the asshole that used the work of others for our own cause :)
@famousone it's not possible that only you did it, that's why people with reduced sperm counts actually have problems. Because there aren't enough sperms pushing into the ovum and "breaching it. Or maybe you're like a half bear-half lion demi god
Like many of humanities problems it is about perspective. Individual sperm are much smaller than eggs and weak. Many will get lost on the way or become damaged. If our perception is that each sperm is an "individual" and only one individual can win- we have a competition where one "steals the win." If we view them as a team, all working towards a goal, and "winning" so long as that goal is finished- things change dramatically. This is also true with humanity. Together we can do amazing things. It's about our outlook. The desire for individual gain or accomplishment over being a pAry of great things is what makes so many "assholes" and often leads to sabotaging others success or holding them back for our own.

@guest_ I like the perspective and you're right but you are assuming communication, awareness and coordination, we as developed human beings can do it. But sperms can't do any of those, they can't communicate with each other, they are not fully aware of them selves and others and finally since communication is lacking, they cannot coordinate. Sperms live of basic instincts, one of those is to survive and reach the "goal". A sperm doesn't understand fully why it should do it, only that it has to. That's why it's still a fight for them. But we can perceive it as teamwork, but it's not really teamwork, all have the same instinct and same goal so they push the door down together, not because they want to help each other reach it

True, but but we need to remember that sperm aren't their own living organisms. They exist because a human has the goal to pass their genes.Their drive is not their own, they act to try and fulfill their creators biological need to reproduce. The man has no idea of individual sperm or what/where they are other than the moment they leave his body. He doesnt care on an individual level about them. All that matters is that one gets the job done.
I know I am.
