It says “a single dead redwood tree“. Sounds like they didn't murder him for the sake of this piece.

Well, even if we assume that they only worked 5 days a week, 3 hours a day, times 20 for three years, that would make 46.980 hours of work which would be roughly 5 and a half years of constant work for one man alone (no breaks, no sleep etc)
