I think that was pretty much justice. I mean the snake acted like a low life trickster so he was made to be the lowest of the lows.

It broke a rule god made that’d be like charging a snake with murder now. It doesn’t get why it’s being punished so it’s cruel and unusual punishment which seems to be the abrahamic god’s specialty

It was a talking snake it talked to Eve it knew what it was punished for.
