Then like a while later the devs would be all like "hey we thought of this cool shit like a month after release" and we'd have a 2-10 dollar dlc that is actually something on top of the game and not a part they cut out beforehand.
Tbh pretty order bonuses are usually ok if it's just an exclusive costume or something to say "Look at me, I'm a supporter who bought the game early! :D". If it's larger content than that though, then noooooo don't do that
Ok. I never wanted to contribute to this discussion but here I go: many many games sucked back then. Remember Jowood? They had great ideas but they sold underdevelopped, buggy, crappy games.
I've played Zelda BOTW now, which I consider to be one of the greatest games ever made. Now I am really happy that I can buy the DLCs and continue playing, as I would have enjoyed to continue playing FFVII after beating WEAPON and Sephiroth on Level 99...
There were 'DLCs', already back in the 90s' btw... they were called Expansion Packs... Remember?
